2013/09 Bridger Wilderness
In memory of the tenth anniversary of Ryan's death, we made the trip to Steeple Peak in the Bridger Wilderness. Than, Dan, Curtis, and I drove up from the Springs, met Brian in Wyoming, and then met up with Nate at the Big Sandy trailhead. We made the very long trek to our campsite at the top of Deep Lake on the first day, then made our way up Steeple on the second day. We found our previously installed plaque, which had fallen off the rock (we had only attached it using silicone). We then installed the new plaque (using metal pegs!) near the start of the technical climbing. After a second night above Deep Lake, we then made a day hike to the saddle between Temple and East Temple Peaks before decending and making camp below Big Sandy Lake on the third night. Our fourth day was a quick hike out and then the long drive back to the Springs.
